Pending Snow

Today is supposed to be a big snow storm but so far it seems to be mostly rainy type snow flakes.  We are to be getting 10-15 inches and I know as a life time New Englander I should be used to it, but I am not.  I hate the cold it brings and the dirty slush we have after the initial pretty white covered ground.  Spring!  Spring is what I am looking for.  I want to hear the birds chirping from the bird houses in my yard in the early morning before I have to get out of bed.  Right now you can only look out the window and wonder, how much are we actually going to get, when will it suddenly switch to a blizzard condition, and when will it stop?  Oh New England weather, so unpredicable & fun!
